Sacyr USA is hiring an Industrial Mechanic for the expansive project in Lubbock, TX.
Position Summary:
The Equipment Mechanic performs all types of mechanical jobs throughout the assigned area, during regular operation schedules and maintenance. Jobs include actual equipment and machinery and/or new pieces of equipment and structures needed for the normal operation.
· Pass company drug & alcohol screen.
· Able to work weekends/holidays or various shift hours depending on job needs.
· Be able to use 3-point contact method always when inspecting and servicing equipment.
· Be able to maintain driver’s license. CDL with HAZ-MAT & Tanker endorsements would be a plus.
· Be able to maintain CDL license DOT medical card if needed.
· Obey all traffic laws and company policies in to regards to driving company owned vehicles.
· Good driving record and report any violations.
· Do DOT walk around inspection at beginning of each shift start and report any concerns.
· Have extensive knowledge on heavy equipment repairs and inspections. Heavy equipment is defined as dozers, excavators, loaders, off-road articulating trucks, air compressors and various vehicle types. Crane experience is a plus.
· With having equipment from multiple manufactures and different models etc. It is important to read and familiarize with equipment manuals, diagnostic equipment or take additional training with seasoned employees or management.
· Course of training will be decided by management to best suit company policies and needs.
· Make note of any equipment concerns or problems and report those to management.
Qualifications/Requirements:
· Must possess ten years of experience in heavy equipment, with experience in welding and fabricating
· Must be able to multitask.
· All work is performed outdoors in Texas and rain, and around heavy highway traffic areas.
· Ensure with the supervisor the end of shift.
· Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Tools Required (Could Be More):
1. 3/8” to ¾” drive ratchets and breakers bars.
2. Set of 3/8”, ½”, & ¾” drive sockets both SAE & Metric. Size ranges from ¼” to 1 ½ “& 6mm to 24mm sockets.
3. Wrenches from ¼” to 1½” & 6mm to 22mm.
4. Combination of screw drivers both standard and Philips.
5. Combination of pliers & channel locks.
6. Adjustable wrenches.
7. Impact guns ½” minimum. Larger impact guns will be supplied.
8. Any employee tool damaged on the job will be replaced with same quality of tool purchased by the employee. (Damaged tool must be turned into management for replacement).
