Public-Private Partnership infrastructure delivery has been proven to be one of the most efficient ways to improve infrastructure stock in different countries, where a private investor works together with a Public Authority in order to finance, design, build and operate public infrastructure.
University of Idaho’s Utility System is Sacyr’s first ever investment in North America. Sacyr manages the Concessionaire, a private entity with whom the University has signed a 50-year lease under which it operates and maintains the University’s Utility System at their Moscow, ID campus. The Concessionaire is also responsible for the delivery of major repairs, capital replacements, and expansions to allow the University to meet their needs over the term.
Position Summary
Sacyr Infrastructure USA is looking for a Project Coordinator to support and oversee operations. The person will report to the CEO, Sacyr Plenary Utility Partners Idaho LLC
Duties and Responsibilities:
· To support on site-supervision and monitoring the daily operations and maintenance provided by the Concessionaire’s local contractor on-campus, as well as acting as close liaison with the University’s leadership.
· On-site supervision and monitoring of the delivery of major repairs, replacements, and expansions of the Utility System.
· Assistance reviewing any documents submitted to the Concessionaire (operations, financial, insurance) by different third-parties and preparing deliverables to the University, including utility fee forecasts, capital planning, and other reporting needs (internal and external).
· Participation in the Concessionaire’s Board of Directors, including assistance with the preparation of board reports.
· Assistance identifying new bidding opportunities and supporting the Business Development team with the submission.
Requirements
- At least 2/3 years of experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role
- BSc in Mechanical Engineering. Background in business administration is recommended.
- Preferible previous experience at the University of Idaho
- Interest in the infrastructure sector (energy, water, social and transportation)
- High proficiency in Excel and strong comfort working with numbers
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfort working with a team and independently, self-motivated.
- A desire to further develop skills in project management, and project finance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Teams, Excel, Word and Power Point)
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus
