Key Responsibilities – Health & Safety Manager, Dublin Construction Project
- Lead the implementation, monitoring, and continual improvement of health and safety management systems across all aspects of the construction project.
- Develop, deliver, and promote construction site safety policies, procedures, and safe systems of work, ensuring compliance with Irish legislation and company standards.
- Carry out regular site inspections and risk assessments, identifying hazards and ensuring corrective actions are taken promptly.
- Promote a strong culture of health, safety, and wellbeing throughout the workforce, engaging operatives, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Ensure accurate recording, reporting, and investigation of accidents, near-misses, and incidents, implementing lessons learned and preventative measures.
- Facilitate health and safety training and inductions for all staff, ensuring high standards of competence and awareness.
- Maintain effective communication with project team members, contractors, and clients regarding all health and safety matters.
- Monitor and review construction health and safety documentation, audits, method statements, and risk assessments.
- Ensure compliance with environment, health, and safety (EHS) regulations and contribute to sustainability and environmental initiatives.
Candidate Profile – Construction Health and Safety Requirements
- Third-level qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a construction health and safety management role, preferably on large infrastructure or engineering projects.
- Minimum 3 years' airside environment experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and best practice.
- Professional membership (e.g., IOSH, CMIOSH, or similar) desirable.
- Experience in training delivery and stakeholder engagement on site safety issues.
- Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and relevant health and safety management systems.
- Fluency in English required.
