As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be at the heart of an exciting infrastructure project in Dublin, based at an airport. Join our dynamic team and make a difference!
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a fundamental part in the Commercial team in generating a high standard of service delivery, achieving successful outcomes, capturing, and sharing knowledge across the project and enhancing our culture of innovation.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the role holder will play a key role in the management of all financial and contractual aspects of this complex project. Focus will be on supply chain procurement, subcontract management, cost forecasting and reporting, and risk management.

Key Responsibilities include:
Review of internal budgets
Assisting with procurement, including package tender analysis and recommendations
Negotiation and preparation of sub-contract documentation
Management of sub-contractor/sub-consultant packages on site
Evaluating design changes and appraisal of options
Assessment of sub-contractor/sub-consultant compensation events
Assessment of sub-contractor/sub-consultant interim applications for payment
Negotiation of sub-contractor/sub-consultant final accounts
Work closely with site management to support smooth operations, value on-site works, and provide commercial advice
Preparation of Cash Flow Forecasts
Submission of monthly internal reports
Preparation of Client applications
Main Contract administration and Change Control
Risk and value management
Ensure commercial compliance of current contracts, protecting the position of the company
Report to Commercial Manager/ Project Director and other appropriate stakeholders as required
Guide and develop junior staff
Additional duties associated with the role as determined by management
Essential criteria:
Legal right to work in the Republic of Ireland
Willingness to complete a 5-year background screening as part of the hiring process
A relevant degree - BSc in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience in a similar role
Previous NEC contract experience (NEC3 or NEC4 option C)
Knowledge of construction contract law and building processes
Demonstrable negotiation and presentation skills
Ability to work on own initiative, prioritise work to deadlines and pay attention to detail
Excellent time management and organisational ability combined with good problem-solving skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to effectively analyse and communicate complex ideas and information to a range of audiences and stakeholders
Familiar with IT software in particular the Microsoft suite; to include Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Word
Proficiency in cost control, estimating, budgeting, contract management, and surveying software
Desirable criteria:
