The Site Agent - Structures will lead the structural works on a major construction project within the operational airport environment. The role involves managing the delivery of structural elements, ensuring quality, safety, and programme compliance, while coordinating with multiple stakeholders in a live airport setting.

Key Responsibilities include:
Understand the design and construction methodologies that relate to the project’s structures.
Project Delivery & Site Management:
- Lead the execution of structural works, including concrete, steel, and precast elements.
- Oversee daily site activities, ensuring alignment with project plans, specifications, and safety protocols.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of works.
Project Controls:
- Ensure Site performance and Cost control
- Maintain and report cost
- Maintain and report production performance
- Ensure management of works to budget
Planning & Coordination:
- Develop and maintain detailed work programmes, short-term lookaheads, and resource plans.
- Liaise with airport operations teams to manage access, logistics, and operational constraints.
- Ensure works are sequenced to minimize disruption to airport operations and comply with security protocols.
Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure all structural works meet design specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct inspections and quality checks, and manage non-conformance reports (NCRs).
- Maintain accurate records of site activities, inspections, and progress.
Health & Safety:
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture on site.
- Ensure compliance with airport safety regulations, project-specific safety plans, and statutory requirements.
- Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings, and incident investigations.
Team Leadership & Reporting:
- Manage and mentor site engineers, foremen, and other site staff.
- Report progress, risks, and issues to the Construction Manager and Project Manager.
- Collaborate with design, planning, and commercial teams to resolve technical and programme challenges.
Temporary Works
- Ensure compliance as temporary works coordinator
- Keep temporary works register
Essential criteria:
- Legal right to work in the Republic of Ireland
- Willingness to complete a 5-year background screening as part of the hiring process
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in structural construction, with at least 3 years in a senior site role.
- Proven experience in airport or high-security infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of structural construction methods, temporary works, and sequencing.
- Proficient in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD).
- Valid Safe Pass and relevant certifications (e.g., CSCS, Manual Handling, Temporary Works Coordinator).
- Attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Software packages: Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
- Good leadership, motivational and people management skills
Desirable criteria:
- Membership of a related professional body e.g. Chartered Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE),
- Knowledge of the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
