The Land Surveyor Manager will lead the surveying operations for a major construction project in the complex and regulated Airport Environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of land surveying, including setting out, site measurements, quantity certification, and performance control, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of surveying outputs.

Key Responsibilities include:
Surveying Operations:
- Plan and manage all surveying activities across the project site.
- Supervise and perform setting out of construction works in accordance with design drawings and specifications.
- Conduct and oversee site measurements to verify construction progress and accuracy.
- Ensure precise quantity certification for materials and works completed, supporting commercial and billing processes.
Performance Control & Reporting:
- Monitor and control surveying performance against project benchmarks.
- Prepare and present surveying reports to the Construction Manager and project stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of survey data, measurements, and certifications.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and coordinate a team of Land Surveyors and Assistant Land Surveyors.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality outputs.
- Allocate tasks and manage workloads to meet project deadlines.
Compliance & Coordination:
- Ensure all surveying activities comply with airport regulations, safety standards, and project requirements.
- Liaise with design teams, engineers, and contractors to resolve discrepancies and ensure alignment.
- Coordinate with airport authorities and other stakeholders to manage access and operational constraints.
Essential criteria:
- Legal right to work in the Republic of Ireland
- Willingness to complete a 5-year background screening as part of the hiring process
- Degree or diploma in Land Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in land surveying, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Proven experience in airport or infrastructure construction projects is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in surveying instruments and software (e.g., Total Station, GPS, AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, and setting out procedures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid Safe Pass and relevant certifications (e.g., CSCS, Manual Handling).
- Attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Software packages: Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Highly skilled in prioritising and organising.
- Good leadership, motivational and people management skills.
- Comfortable interacting with all levels of management in multiple areas.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others including colleagues, customers and suppliers
Desirable criteria:
- Experience on tunnelling works and heavy civils
- Knowledge of the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
