Junior Legal Counsel – Projects & Infrastructure (Melbourne)
We are seeking a Junior Legal Counsel – Projects & Infrastructure to join the Group Legal team in Australia. The role will provide legal support across the company’s core business lines, including concessions, water and construction, advising on the development, procurement and delivery of major infrastructure projects.
The successful candidate will work closely with business teams and external advisers, supporting project tenders, contract negotiations and the structuring of infrastructure and PPP projects in Australia.
Requirements:
• Law degree and qualification to practice law (preferably admitted in Australia).
• 5 years post-qualification experience (PQE) gained either in:
• a top-tier law firm, or
• in-house within infrastructure, construction or concessions sectors.
• Demonstrated experience in construction contracts and infrastructure projects.
• Experience in PPP / project finance structures is highly desirable.
• Experience with Joint Ventures, corporate structuring and project SPVs.
• Familiarity with financing arrangements, guarantees and security structures in infrastructure projects.
• Exposure to construction disputes, arbitration or litigation is a plus.
• Strong understanding of the Australian legal and regulatory framework relevant to infrastructure and construction.
