The Quality Control Coordinator will support the development, management, and continuous improvement of the site’s Quality Management System. This includes conducting site inspections, reviewing technical documentation, and ensuring compliance with established procedures.
The role will provide expertise in Quality Control, ensuring that all systems are effectively implemented and maintained throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, the role holder will support the Quality Assurance team, helping to ensure that all construction activities meet the required quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities include:
Assist in maintaining the QA records of the Project.
Prepare and assist both internal and external audits.
Assist with the Material Approvals, testing and quality control procedures to ensure that construction materials meet the required standards and specification.
Manage Quality inspections, conducting regular inspections of materials and workmanship to ensure compliance with project specifications, building codes and quality standards.
Compile relevant reports on time and as requested.
Ensure hold points and witness points are scheduled and respected on site.
Oversee and manage site activities as required, ensuring works are carried out in accordance with project specifications and quality standards.
Liaise with subcontractors to obtain QA records, test results, certifications, and compliance evidence.
Proactively chase and monitor overdue submissions from subcontractors and suppliers.
Coordinate with internal teams to ensure all documentation is properly recorded, stored, and readily accessible for audits and inspections.
Ensure proper documentation control and filing within project systems (Dalux, Aconex, or similar platforms).
Compile and manage Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manuals.
Align inspection and testing activities with the construction programme and lookahead plans
Ensure hold points and witness points are scheduled and respected on site.
Support readiness reviews before works start (ITP approval, materials approved, workforce competence).
Coordinate with commissioning teams to ensure QA documentation aligns with system completion criteria
Track inspections required for completion certification
Support coordination with Building Control, regulators, and third-party inspectors.
Ensure non-conformances in products and processes are identified and resolved ensuring corrective and preventive actions are properly defined and implemented
Document results and findings after inspections are carried out and ensure any necessary legal documentation is produced.
Assist in providing training and support to employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance.
Being fully aware of and actively complying with Sacyr’s policies and procedures relevant to your own responsibilities and to corporate policies and procedures including equality, sustainability and the environment, health and safety and data protection
Additional duties associated with the role as determined by management.
Essential criteria:
Right to work in the UK
BSc in Engineering, Architecture or equivalent.
Knowledge of quality control systems.
3 years’ experience in Project Management
Knowledge of quality control systems.
Civil / Fitout / M&E construction project experience.
Experienced in developing registers, documentation and reviewing information.
Proficient Microsoft Office.
Excellent verbal, oral, and written communication, and negotiation skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy of work.
Good analytical ability.
Knowledge of control plans, measurement system analysis and statistical process control.
A working knowledge of UK construction standards and working practices.
Demonstrable knowledge of system engineering and control.
H&S competence: SMTS or equivalent qualification
Knowledge of the relevant structures and civil engineering statutory procedures with reference to Health and Safety.
Ability to set and work to personal deadlines and targets to meet the requirements of programmes of work.
Experience of Quality Assurance.
Excellent multi-tasking abilities.
Logical approach to problem solving along with solid analytical skills, understanding of business processes and systems optimisation.
Comfortable interacting with all levels of management in multiple areas.
Highly skilled in prioritising and organising.
Possess the aptitude to rationally explain, explore and discuss Quality issues.
Sound knowledge & understanding of ISO9001:2015 (Quality Management System standard)
Proficient with Quality Management System Implementation and Auditing.
Desirable criteria:
Knowledge of the sustainability assessment programs that is used to masterplan projects, infrastructure and buildings, as BREEAM
Knowledge of the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
