About the role
We are currently looking for a Contract Administrator/Procurement to join our team based in Perth, specifically to support our New Mandurah Hospital Project. This role is primarily responsible for supporting the Commercial Manager in implementing appropriate commercial strategies to ensure successful project delivery, the efficient and effective administration of commercial and contractual matters, and general commercial support and the active day-to-day administration of contracts.
Key responsibilities
Assist with the preparation, evaluation, and recommendation of tenders. Maintain the procurement register and contribute to drafting contract documentation and scopes of work.
Assist in managing the Bill of Quantities (BOQ), tracking progress against budgets, and evaluating earned value performance. Implement effective cost controls and manage material/docket registers.
Manage the daily administration of executed subcontracts, focusing on achieving milestones, assessing variations, and drafting instructions.
Process purchase orders, delivery dockets, invoices, and payments, including preparing payment schedules.
Assist in producing accurate month-end reports and dashboards. Ensure all commercial activities comply with policies, procedures and relevant regulations.
Develop and maintain strong strategic relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in Building, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering or a related discipline.
5+ years of experience in procurement, contracts administration or commercial management within the building construction sector.
Proven experience working on large and complex building projects (Hospital equipment (FF&E and MME) experience is highly advantageous).
Strong working knowledge of standard construction contracts.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of drafting clear contractual correspondence.
Proficiency in project management and cost control software packages.
